These terms apply whenever you request a quote or book work with Laimis Home Renovations, trading as Laimis Naujas, covering Peterborough and the surrounding towns. Read them alongside the quote or invoice for your specific job, which sets out the price, scope and timescale agreed for that work.

Website use

This website and its content, including text and photographs of completed work, belongs to Laimis Home Renovations. You may view and print pages for your own personal use when requesting a quote, but you may not copy, reproduce or reuse the content for any other purpose without permission. Nothing on this website is professional advice; treat it as a general guide and confirm exact pricing and specification for your job in writing before work starts.

Quotes and estimates

Quotes are provided free of charge and without obligation, usually after visiting the property to see the job in person. A written quote is valid for 30 days from the date given, after which prices may need to be reviewed if material costs have changed. The final price will only differ from the quote if the scope of work changes once work has started, for example if a problem is found once old tiling or flooring is removed, and any change in price will be agreed with you before extra work goes ahead.

Booking and cancellation

A job is booked in once a quote is accepted, in writing, by reply to WhatsApp, or by email or text message. I ask for at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a confirmed start date. Cancelling with less notice than this, or on the day work is due to start, may incur a charge to cover materials already bought or ordered specifically for your job.

Payment

Payment is accepted by bank transfer or cash. For larger jobs, a deposit may be requested to cover the cost of materials before work starts, with the balance due on completion. Smaller jobs are typically invoiced in full on completion. Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Guarantees and warranties

All work is guaranteed against defects in workmanship for 12 months from completion. This covers issues that arise from how the work was carried out, such as a tile coming loose or a door not closing properly, and does not cover wear and tear, misuse, or problems with materials supplied by the customer. Manufacturer warranties on any fittings or materials I supply, such as showers or flooring, are passed on separately and are subject to that manufacturer's own terms.

Liability

I take reasonable care to avoid damage to your property while working, and I will make good any damage I cause during the course of a job. My liability is limited to the cost of putting right the specific problem caused, and does not extend to loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable or that results from pre-existing issues with the property.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
