One person, start to finish
I don't hand jobs off to subcontractors partway through. The person who quotes your job is the person tiling your bathroom three weeks later.
About Us
Ten years of hands-on renovation work across Peterborough, done personally from start to finish.
Laimis Naujas
Founder & Lead Engineer
I'm Laimis, and I've been renovating homes in and around Peterborough for the past ten years. I started out working with other tradesmen on bigger jobs, and it didn't take long to notice how often corners got cut once nobody was checking: tiling rushed to hit a deadline, wet areas boxed in before they were properly waterproofed, jobs left half-finished while the next one started. I set up on my own because I wanted to do the whole job properly, from the first measure-up to the last coat of paint, without handing any of it off.
Ten years on, I still work that way. I don't run a team of subcontractors, and I don't take on more jobs than I can personally see through. Most of my work is bathroom fitting and tiling, but it's grown to cover flooring, painting and decorating, and general renovation work: stud walls, feature walls, decking, fencing, windows and doors, whatever a job actually needs. If it's outside what I'd do well, I'll say so rather than take it on anyway.
I'm still hands-on with every job that goes out under my name. That's not going to change as the business grows: it's the reason people call me back for the next room, and the reason a lot of my work comes from word of mouth around Peterborough rather than advertising.
Left subcontracted work to take on renovation jobs directly, starting with bathroom fitting and tiling around Peterborough.
Took on more flooring, painting and decorating, and general renovation work as word of mouth grew beyond the original bathroom fitting jobs.
Still working solo across Peterborough, Stamford and the surrounding towns, with most new jobs coming from repeat clients and recommendations.

You get a written quote broken down by materials and labour before anything is booked in, so there is nothing to renegotiate once the job is underway.
If work needs specialist gas or electrical certification I'm not set up for, I'll say so upfront rather than take it on and hope for the best.
